How much does it cost to have a website built?
A professional business website costs between €1,690 and €9,000 one-off, an online shop between €5,900 and €15,000. Running costs for hosting, domain and support add roughly €20 to €130 per month. The price depends mainly on number of pages, copy, features and integrations – not on design alone.

What drives the price
Number and type of pages
Five standard pages differ from 30 service and regional pages with their own copy. Every page needs structure, content and optimisation.
Copy and images
If you supply content yourself, it is cheaper. Professional copy with SEO research adds €300 to €1,500 depending on scope.
Features
Booking, multiple languages, member area, configurator or AI chatbot – each feature is its own effort. Standard features cost little, custom logic more.
Integrations
If the site must talk to inventory, CRM or accounting, effort depends on their interfaces. I clarify this before quoting.
SEO scope
Basic optimisation is always included. Local SEO with directories, competitor analysis or ongoing support are added depending on your goals.

Frequently asked
What does a simple website for a small business cost?
A professional web presence with five to eight pages costs €1,690 to €3,000 one-off, plus about €20 to €40 per month for hosting and domain. Maintenance is optional.
Why is a professional website more expensive than a site builder?
You pay for research, structure, copy, speed and SEO – for the site being found and bringing enquiries. A site builder is cheaper, but you do the work and hit limits in visibility and technology quickly.
Are there hidden costs?
No. After the first call you get a fixed price with a list of what is included. Running costs are stated up front; maintenance is optional and cancellable monthly.
Can I pay in instalments?
Yes. Usually a third on order, a third after the design and the rest at launch. Other splits are possible.
Is an expensive website worth it?
If it brings one or two extra jobs a month, it pays for itself within a year for most businesses. What matters is not the price but whether the site is found and convinces.
