Terms of use

For the free website check, the security check and the active test on log-studio.de. By starting a check you accept these terms.

1. Provider and scope

The checks are offered by Log-System Development, Yusuf Senel, Von-Hünefeld-Straße 8, 40764 Langenfeld. These terms apply to the website check, the security check (quick check) and the active test including the ownership verification. They are free of charge; there is no entitlement to their availability.

2. Only your own websites

You may only check websites that you run yourself or that you are authorised to have checked (for example as an employee, agency or service provider on behalf of the operator). With the confirmation before the check you assure this. Checking third-party websites without permission is not allowed.

The active test additionally requires a proof of ownership via a meta tag or a file on the website. Ownership is checked live again before every active test.

3. What the checks do – and what they do not

The quick check only looks at what any visitor sees: the encryption, response headers, the stated software version and a few fixed paths such as /.env or /.git. The active test sends a limited number of additional, harmless requests (for example to typical admin paths, allowed methods and a reflected test string).

No check exploits vulnerabilities, logs in, tries passwords, changes data or puts load on the website beyond a few normal requests. All requests identify themselves with a user agent starting with “LogStudio-” and a link to the check.

4. Fair use and limits

To keep the checks available for everyone, the number of checks per person, per checked website and in total is limited per hour. When a limit is reached, the page shows how long to wait. Automated mass queries, circumventing the limits or using the checks as a scanner are not permitted and may be blocked.

5. No guarantee

The checks are an automated look from the outside and give a snapshot. They do not replace a penetration test or an individual review. A good result does not mean a website is free of vulnerabilities; individual findings may also be incorrect. Version details are only evaluated as far as the server discloses them.

6. Liability

Liability is unlimited for intent and gross negligence and for injury to life, body or health. For slight negligence, liability only applies to the breach of essential obligations and is limited to foreseeable, typical damage. As the checks are free, liability is otherwise excluded within the limits of the law (§§ 521, 599 BGB apply accordingly).

7. Privacy

How the checks work and which data is processed is described in the privacy policy.

8. Final provisions

German law applies. Should a provision be invalid, the remaining provisions remain unaffected. As of October 2026.
