What it
roughly costs.
Guide figures, not invented numbers. You get the binding price after the first conversation — in writing, fixed, and with a list of what is included.
Under § 19 of the German VAT Act no VAT is charged. All prices are final prices.

Single page
One page that shows your business and lets people reach you.
For businesses with nothing online yet that simply want to be findable in the first place.
If you want a say
You see a draft upfront and we settle whatever matters to you — colours, typeface, layout, choice of images. In as much detail as you like.
If you have no time for that
Then I take it off your hands entirely. You send me your details, I build something that fits your business, and you look at it at the end. No back-and-forth.
- One page with all the essentials
- Draft upfront, one round of revisions
- Contact form that actually reaches you
- Optimised for mobile
- Imprint and privacy policy integrated
- Additional sub-pages
- Editing the content yourself
- Multiple languages
- Copywriting
If you later want to edit content yourself or need more pages, the Web presence package is the right fit — you can move up at any time and nothing built so far is lost.
For work outside a package — changes, advice, extensions. Agencies typically charge 100 to 180 €.
The first conversation and the estimate are free — billing only starts once you place an order.
No office, no administration, no sales department — plus modern tools that finish routine work considerably faster. I pass that on instead of keeping it as margin.
The effort for concept, content and coordination. Faster does not mean superficial — it means less time goes into routine work and more into what actually matters for you.
Why two websites cost different amounts
Scope
Five pages or fifty makes a difference — but a smaller one than most expect. The structure costs, not the quantity.
Individuality
A bespoke design concept costs more than a proven grid. Whether it pays off depends on how much you need to stand out.
Integrations
Inventory, booking system, calendar, CRM. Every interface is effort — and the most common reason quotes diverge.
Multiple languages
Manageable technically, less so editorially. Translation is usually the larger item.
Content
If text and images exist, it goes faster. If I create them, that gets added.
Visibility
The SEO groundwork is always included. Deeper competitor analysis, taking over all directory listings and ongoing support are effort that shows in the price.
What comes on top each month
Listed separately so you know where you stand. Both are optional — you can stay with your current provider. Ongoing care is its own point below.
- Hosting19 € / month
Operation on fast servers in Germany, including encryption and backups
- Domainfrom 15 € / year
Your web address. Registered in your name, not mine.
What I need from you
The most common cause of delay is not technical problems but missing content. So here it is, stated openly.
- Text and images — or sign-off if I create them
- Access to the domain and existing hosting
- Someone who can answer questions
- A reply within a few days so the schedule holds
Maintenance - with LivaLink included
Optional and cancellable monthly. Every one of these packages includes LivaLink Business - the subscription alone costs 29 € a month. From 20 € you therefore pay less for maintenance and appointment booking together than for the booking alone.
See LivaLink — appointment booking, contact routes and chat ↗Basic
When you maintain content yourself and only want the technology covered.
- LivaLink Business included - appointment booking, contact routes and chat with your own branding instead of a LivaLink notice (normally 29 € a month)
- Security updates for the system and its extensions
- Daily backup, restore if the worst happens
- Uptime checks - I usually notice an outage before you do
Care
When you would rather hand changes over than make them yourself.
- Everything from Basic
- Content changes: text, images, prices, opening hours - you write me what should change
- Rebuilds of the site structure: new pages, reordering, removing
- Smaller changes are included; anything larger we agree on beforehand
- Reply within one working day
Visibility
When the site should not just run, but keep moving forward.
- Everything from Care
- Ongoing search work: watching rankings, sharpening copy, taking new terms
- Keeping the Google Business Profile and directory listings current
- Building reviews, guided
- A short monthly report: what you are found for and what is next
Without a maintenance agreement your site of course keeps running - you then handle updates yourself, and the regular LivaLink tariff applies.
Questions about pricing and process
Why are there no fixed prices here?
Because a fixed price without knowing the project would either be set too high or need renegotiating later. After a short conversation you get a fixed price — and it holds.
What is the difference between Single page and Web presence?
The Single page is exactly one page, built and handed over — I make changes to it. The Web presence has several pages and an editing system so you can change text and images yourself. If you just want to be online at all, the Single page is enough; if you update things regularly, the Web presence saves money over time.
Do I get to see a draft with the entry package too?
Yes, and it is not a special request. You see upfront how it will look and we settle whatever matters to you — down to colours and typeface if you like. If you have no time for that, I make the decisions and you take one look at the end.
Why are the prices lower than at an agency?
Two reasons, both unspectacular. First, there are no costs here for office, administration and sales — at an agency you pay for those. Second, I get routine work done considerably faster with modern tools than two years ago. What stays the same is the effort for concept, content and coordination — and that is exactly where nothing is cut.
Is that not suspiciously cheap?
It sits below the agency average but well above page builders and bargain providers. For 500 euros you get a template with a swapped logo — which costs you more later than it saved. You can look at what I have built beforehand: every reference is live and reachable.
Is VAT added?
No. Under the German small-business rule (§ 19 UStG) no VAT is charged — the stated price is what you pay. Quotes from other providers are usually net figures with 19 % on top. That is only a real advantage if you cannot reclaim input tax; as a VAT-registered business you pay the same in the end.
How does payment work?
Whatever suits you. The usual arrangement is a deposit on placing the order and the rest after acceptance, in stages for larger projects. If you would rather pay in instalments, we set that up — at no extra charge. For clients I have already worked for, the deposit is dropped entirely. Payment terms are 14 days; if things get tight, tell me rather than waiting for a reminder. No project should fail over that.
What if the project grows beyond what was planned?
Then I say so before the effort is incurred — not on the final invoice. Anything extra is agreed in advance and put in writing.
What happens if you fall ill or drop out?
The honest answer: with one person that is a real risk, and I will not promise you availability I cannot keep. What I do to limit the damage: domain, hosting and every account are in your name from day one, not mine. I build with common standard tools rather than home-made constructions — any web developer can take over without starting from scratch. And on larger projects at least one self-employed colleague knows where things stand. You are never left sitting on something only I can reach.
What does it cost if I stop the project halfway?
You pay for the work done up to that point, itemised by what is actually finished — not the full contract value. The deposit is not a penalty, it is offset. And you get what exists: drafts, copy, source code. Stopping is annoying, but it should not punish you on top.
And what if I simply do not like the design?
That is what the revision rounds are for, and they are included in the price. If it still does not fit afterwards, that is a sign we have been working past each other — then we end the project instead of forcing it. You pay for the effort incurred so far. A site you do not stand behind is no use to either of us.
Is there a warranty?
Yes. Faults that trace back to my work I fix free of charge. That is not goodwill, it is the legal position.
Am I tied to you afterwards?
No. You get everything belonging to your site and can switch at any time. A maintenance retainer is sensible but voluntary and cancellable monthly.
What would your project cost?
Briefly describe what you have in mind. You get an assessment with a price range and a schedule — free and without obligation.
