Do I really need an app?
Usually not. A website that can be added to the home screen covers a lot — without a store, a review process or an annual fee. I will tell you honestly when that is enough.
What does publishing cost?
Apple charges 99 US dollars a year, Google 25 US dollars once. That runs through your own developer accounts — the app belongs to you, not to me.
How long does store review take?
Usually one to three days, longer if it gets rejected. That is factored in.
Does the app need maintenance?
Yes. One to two updates a year is realistic, otherwise new operating system versions cause problems.
